MCT is a Medium Chain Triglyceride that belongs to a class of lipids consisting mainly of medium chain fatty acids, caprylic (C8) and capric (C10). They come from edible vegetable oils, rich in this type of fatty acids. They have low molecular weight. This is an oily liquid with low viscosity, low acidity and a high degree of saturation, which gives it great stability to oxidation and can be used at high temperatures.
