1. Purpose
Since privacy is important to everyone, Grupo Sabará commits to respecting it regarding any personal information we need to collect.
This privacy statement applies to all employees, suppliers, partners, and customers and aims to provide the guidelines defined and applied by Grupo Sabará in processing your personal information.
This policy is comprehensive and covers all collection and/or processing of personal information through various channels such as websites, applications, social networks, sales and events, or processing data provided by partners, customers, and suppliers for the provision of services.
Our privacy policy is based on the ethics and values observed by Grupo Sabará and complies with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) – LAW No. 13.709, OF AUGUST 14, 2018, and the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet – LAW No. 12.965, OF APRIL 23, 2014, which establishes principles, guarantees, rights, and duties for the use of the Internet in Brazil.

2. Personal Data: What is Collected, How it is Collected, and Purpose of Collection
Depending on the type of Data Subject (employees, suppliers, partners, and customers) and how this Data Subject interacts with Grupo Sabará, various categories of information are collected as described below:

  • Personal contact information: Any information provided for the purpose of contact, such as name, postal address, email, business address, social media details, and phone number
  • Account login information: Any information necessary to grant access to a specific account profile for accessing our services. Examples include email address, username, password in unrecoverable format, and/or security question and answer, among others, to facilitate access to services provided by us
  • Technical information about the computer/mobile device: Any information about the computer system or other device you use to access one of our pages, services, or applications, IP address used to connect your computer or device to the internet, the type of operating system, and the type and version of the web browser, among other navigation information
  • Financial and payment information: Information necessary to fulfill an order/contract/invoice/payment/remuneration/reimbursement. Grupo Sabará ensures that its payment processing service ensures that financial and payment information complies with applicable laws, standards, and security standards
  • Sensitive Personal Data: Whenever it is necessary to collect and process Sensitive Personal Data for any reason, prior and express consent will be requested (e.g., Covid-19 prevention, biometrics for access to facilities or time clock, etc.). If it is necessary to process Sensitive Personal Data for other purposes, these have a legal basis and Grupo Sabará will provide prior notice to the Data Subject
  • Personal Data of Children and Adolescents: Whenever it is necessary to collect and process Personal Data of children and minors, explicit consent will be requested from parents or guardians (e.g., health plan and other benefits and/or obligations, as well as the consent form for processing personal data signed by the minor's responsible party).

3. Purpose of Using Personal Data
The table describes the purposes of Personal Data and the different types of Personal Data we collect for each of them. Please note that not all uses below will be relevant to all individuals.

Purpose

Customer/Consumer Service. We use Personal Data to provide customer/consumer services, including responding to inquiries and fulfilling contracts. Requires the use of some personal contact information and information about the reason for the inquiry (e.g., order status, technical issue, product or service question or complaint, and inquiry)

  • Improve and develop new products and services;
  • Be more efficient

Recruitment, selection, and hiring. Processing recruitment and selection of candidates. For those not selected, their data remains in our talent pool for future selection processes. At the time of hiring, more Personal Data and some sensitive data may be collected (biometrics for access to facilities and time clock, health plan data, dependent information for benefits).

4. Use of Cookies/Similar Technologies, Log Files, and Web Beacons
4.1 Cookies (Browsing Trackers)

4.2 Use of Log Files
We collect information in the form of log files that record the activities on the pages and collect statistical information about browsing habits. These entries are generated automatically and help us troubleshoot, improve performance, and maintain the security of our pages.
4.3 Web Beacons
Web beacons (also known as "tracking pixels") are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a web page or in an email to transfer data back to us. The information collected through web beacons may include technical information such as IP address, as well as information about how you respond to an email campaign (e.g., what time the email was opened, which links in the email were clicked, etc.). 5. Personal Data Processing
The information obtained through cookies is processed exclusively by the systems of Grupo Sabará and is used in accordance with the purposes described in this document. Under no circumstances will data obtained through cookies be transferred to third parties without the prior and express consent of the data subject.
The personal data processing activities carried out by Grupo Sabará are based on the following principles:

Grupo Sabará will maintain a record of all data processing activities it carries out. This record will contain the relevant information about the data processing operations and will be available to the data protection authorities upon request.
