Refined Safflower Oil is obtained from safflower seeds (Carthamus tinctorius L.). Safflower belongs to the aster or sunflower family (Asteraceae). Its seeds contain about 30% oil. High content of linoleic acid (C18:2). Low saturated fatty acid content.
