São Paulo, July 2024 – Concepta Ingredients, a business unit of Grupo Sabará specialized in supplying natural solutions for the food and beverage industry, is participating in another edition of Food Ingredients South America (FiSA). Considered the most comprehensive platform for connections and business in the sector in Latin America, the event takes place from August 6 to 8 at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo (SP).
At the 2024 edition, the company is launching its Arboreto Premium Protein line, highlighting the plant-based protein ingredient PRO 1000G, derived from the sesame oil extraction process. The product has characteristics that place it within an excellent nutritional profile, as it is rich in proteins, fiber, calcium, and a source of essential amino acids.
Another highlight prepared by Concepta Ingredients is the presentation of Arboreto Premium Protein PRO 1000GB, which innovatively combines the benefits of sesame, derived from the upcycling process of oil extraction, with babassu, an ingredient from Concepta Ingredients’ portfolio that is part of the Bio Abundance program, aimed at promoting the sustainable use of natural resources and the development of the communities involved. The ingredient is ideal for applications in doughs, bakery products, snacks, cereals, and hot beverages.
“Each year, we seek to innovate and surprise our clients with variations in our portfolio, and this time we brought a protein ingredient that stands out not only for its culinary versatility but also for its positive socio-environmental impact, which is always present in our solutions,” says André Sabará, Commercial Director of Concepta Ingredients.
The executive explains that the ingredient stands out for offering more than 40g of protein per 100g of product, providing prolonged satiety. In addition, it is rich in magnesium, calcium, and potassium in significant amounts. Being gluten-free, it is an option for individuals with intolerance who seek a healthy, fiber-rich diet.
Bio Abundance Line
The Concepta Ingredients booth also highlights the Bio Abundance line, composed of ingredients from Brazilian biodiversity, aimed at a wide range of market segments. The portfolio includes cocoa butter and cocoa nibs, organic açaí powder, broken Brazil nuts, organic açaí oil, passion fruit oil, patauá oil, licuri oil, Brazil nut oil, cupuaçu butter, baru nuts, and babassu flour.
“FiSA is always a great opportunity to reconnect with our clients and partners and establish new contacts. It is also the ideal space to launch products and highlight others that are already very successful in the market, such as our Brazilian biodiversity ingredients,” adds André Sabará.
In addition to promoting and valuing Brazil’s natural resources, with elements that provide flavor, functionality, and health benefits to products, the Bio Abundance line ensures the existence of production chains that generate positive impacts on the environmental, social, economic, and cultural aspects of the communities and biomes where they are located.
This is materialized through the Bio Abundance Program, launched in 2022, which contributes to the indirect preservation of approximately 580,000 hectares of native vegetation across the Amazon, Cerrado, Caatinga, and Atlantic Forest biomes. The initiative is based on five pillars: connecting people in a virtuous value chain between forest wealth and the market; conserving standing forests; respecting the peoples and communities that inhabit them; encouraging the use of ingredients from Brazilian biomes; and promoting socioeconomic inclusion and reducing social inequality.
