São Paulo, July 2024 – Concepta Ingredients – a business unit of Grupo Sabará specialized in providing natural solutions for the food and beverage industry – participates in another edition of Food Ingredients South America (FiSA). Considered the most comprehensive platform for connection and business in the sector in Latin America, the fair will take place from August 6 to 8 at São Paulo Expo, São Paulo (SP).
At the 2024 edition, the company launches its Arboreto Premium Protein line, highlighting the plant-based protein active ingredient PRO 1000G, derived from the sesame oil extraction process. The product features an excellent nutritional profile, being rich in proteins, fibers, calcium, and a source of essential amino acids.
Another highlight prepared by Concepta Ingredients is the presentation of Arboreto Premium Protein PRO 1000GB, which innovatively combines the benefits of sesame, derived from the upcycling process of oil extraction, with babaçu, an ingredient from Concepta Ingredients’ portfolio that is part of the Bio Abundance program, aimed at promoting the sustainable use of natural resources and the development of the communities involved. This ingredient is ideal for application in pasta, bakery products, snacks, cereals, and hot beverages.
“Every year, we strive to innovate and surprise our clients with variations in our portfolio, and this time we brought a protein active ingredient that stands out not only for its culinary versatility but also for its positive socio-environmental impact, always present in our solutions,” says André Sabará, Commercial Director of Concepta Ingredients.
The executive explains that the active ingredient stands out by offering more than 40g of protein per 100g of product, providing a prolonged feeling of satiety. Additionally, it is rich in magnesium, calcium, and potassium in significant amounts. Being gluten-free, it is an option for intolerant individuals seeking a healthy diet rich in fibers.
Bio Abundance Line
Concepta Ingredients’ booth also highlights the Bio Abundance line, composed of ingredients from Brazilian biodiversity, aimed at various market segments. The portfolio includes: cocoa butter and nibs, organic acai powder, broken Brazil nuts, organic acai oil, passion fruit, patauá, licuri, Brazil nut oil, cupuaçu butter, baru nuts, and babaçu flour.
“FiSA is always a great opportunity to reconnect with our clients and partners and establish new contacts. But it is also the ideal space to launch products and highlight others that are already very successful in the market, such as our ingredients from Brazilian biodiversity,” adds André Sabará.
In addition to promoting and valuing Brazil’s natural resources with elements that provide flavor, functionality, and health benefits to products, the Bio Abundance line ensures the existence of production chains that promote positive impacts on the environmental, social, economic, and cultural aspects of the communities and biomes where they reside.
This is materialized through the Bio Abundance Program, launched in 2022, which contributes to the indirect maintenance of approximately 580,000 hectares of native vegetation spread across the Amazon, Cerrado, Caatinga, and Atlantic Forest biomes. The initiative is based on five pillars: connecting people in a virtuous value chain between the richness of the forest and the market; conserving standing forest; respecting the peoples and communities who inhabit it; encouraging the use of ingredients from Brazilian biomes; and promoting socioeconomic inclusion and reducing social inequality.
