Concepta Ingredients Launches Three Caramel Lines at Food Ingredients South America 2017
New Products Provide Flavor, Aroma, Texture, and Coloring to Various Foods Such as Breads, Cakes, Cookies, and Sweets; Company Also Showcases Organic Ingredients
São Paulo, July 2017 – A business unit of the Sabará Group specialized in natural and technological solutions for the food and beverage industries, Concepta Ingredients presents a complete portfolio of caramels to the Brazilian market during Food Ingredients South America (Fisa) 2017. The event takes place from August 22 to 24 at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo.
Developed by the French company Nigay – a global partner of Concepta Ingredients – the products arrive in the country in three distinct lines, dedicated to providing flavor, aroma, texture, and coloring to various foods such as breads, cakes, cookies, and sweets. All the new products can be seen by visitors at booth 122 during the fair.
“Fisa is the leading food and beverage industry trade show on the continent, a perfect opportunity for us to present our portfolio to some of the sector’s main players,” says Lilia Kawazoe, Commercial Manager at Concepta Ingredients. “At our booth, visitors can get an up-close look at the new caramel lines we bring to Brazil, as well as other sustainable, organic, and natural solutions available to the market,” she adds.
The first caramel line showcased by the company is Aromatic Caramels, composed of two types of caramel with natural aromas: 1395 SMA6, with a dark brown color; and 1400 SMA3, with a chestnut color. Produced through controlled sugar caramelization and presented in liquid form, both are ready to be used as syrups to impart caramel flavor and aroma to foods. They are suitable for cookies, liqueurs, sauces, dairy products, sweets, and ice creams.
The Caramel Flakes line also consists of two items that offer flavor and aroma: EN5020, a brown caramel crystal ranging from 2mm to 5mm; and CRKS 24, a crunchy caramel flake sized 2mm to 5mm which, due to the caramelization of sugar with butter, cream, and salt, acquires a light brown tone. These products are obtained through controlled thermal treatment of sugar with other ingredients and, once solidified, are broken and sieved. They can be used in cookies, cakes, chocolates, sweets, breads, dairy products, and ice creams.
Finally, the Caramel Specialties line comprises three ready-to-use products for toppings, fillings, and blends, designed to ensure distinctive flavor and texture in foods: FG 134 AV, a viscous caramel obtained by caramelizing sugar, coconut oil, and milk, with the aroma, flavor, and color of milk caramel; F 0002, a caramel powder produced by caramelizing sugar with cream and butter, featuring the aroma and flavor of buttery caramel cream; and FB 84, a viscous caramel obtained by caramelizing sugar, milk, butter, and salt, with the aroma and flavor of buttery caramel. All versions are suitable for use in cereal bars, cookies, cakes, chocolates, sweets, breads, dairy products, and ice creams.
Organic Oils and Butter Also Highlighted
In addition to the new caramel lines, Concepta Ingredients also showcases recent launches at Fisa 2017 for the industry, all 100% organic: organic Brazil nut oil, produced from the first pressing of a selection of the finest nuts, preserving its nutritional and functional properties; organic virgin coconut oil, extracted from fresh, newly harvested fruits from the Philippines, a region globally recognized for the quality of this type of product; and organic cupuaçu butter, unique in the market, which imparts an exclusive, exotic, and distinctive flavor to dishes.
The raw materials for these ingredients are harvested or collected by local communities in remote regions who, over generations, have found in them a source of wealth and a way to preserve the forest, while also promoting female empowerment and childhood education.
