Concepta Ingredients Highlights Innovations at the 22nd Food Ingredients South America (FiSA)
Company bets on functional ingredients that combine natural and technological aspects
São Paulo, August 2018 – A business unit of Grupo Sabará specialized in natural and technological solutions for the food, beverage, animal nutrition, and veterinary pharmaceutical industries, Concepta Ingredients presents this year’s launches at the 22nd Food Ingredients South America (FiSA), held from August 21 to 23 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo.
“We will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of ingredients capable of meeting the most specific demands of the industries. Because we invest heavily in innovation and research, we offer solutions ranging from biodiversity ingredients to inputs with added technology,” emphasizes Lilia Kawazoe, Commercial Manager at Concepta Ingredients.
This year, one of the major highlights is Biofrutose, a liquid brown sugar derived from organic cultivation. Without the use of additives or pesticides, the ingredient is known as whole sugar since it is not subjected to refining processes, which helps preserve minerals and phytosterols from sugarcane. Additionally, it contains natural minerals from the cane such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron, and naturally contains polyphenols.
Another novelty is the line of processed fruits from the Italian company Cesarin, recommended for application in breads, cakes, cookies, filled biscuits, desserts, ice creams, chocolates, and other artisanal sweets. Through a production process that combines traditional and technological methods, the brand offers crystallized fruits, cubes, and low water activity zest, all maintaining the characteristic structure and organoleptic properties of natural fruits. The line includes natural amarena cherry; wild berries and orange in syrups; Sicilian lemon and orange in cubes and slices; and strawberry and apricot fillings with pieces.
“We want to demonstrate to the market that it is possible to make foods healthier and more functional without compromising on flavor. For this, we offer solutions that can be applied at different stages of the manufacturing process,” highlights Lilia Kawazoe.
In addition to innovations, FiSA visitors will have the opportunity to explore the complete portfolio of Concepta Ingredients, featuring products that meet various industry demands, such as caramel specialties developed by the French company Nigay, renowned in the market for the art of caramelization, offering ingredient options in syrup, flakes, powder, and viscous forms that provide flavor, aroma, and texture to the final product; as well as the full line of stabilizers and emulsifiers from the Belgian company Oleon.
