One of North America’s largest food business events is the first major in-person initiative in which the Grupo Sabará business unit participates post-pandemic
São Paulo, April 2022 – With the objective of showcasing its biodiversity line for food ingredients, Concepta Ingredients, a business unit of Grupo Sabará, is participating in SIAL Canada in Montreal. The international food business fair takes place from April 20 to 22 and brings together major market players to discuss advances in the food industry, such as the arrival of new players, changes in consumption habits, and the development of the international market.
The portfolio presented by Concepta Ingredients during the event includes organic and exotic ingredients designed to meet the most specific industrial demands, including patauá oil, licuri oil, passion fruit oil, and toasted babaçu oil; açaí in syrup, extract, oil, and powder; vegetable butter; and cold-pressed oils of flaxseed, sunflower, and safflower.
For over 20 years fostering business connections, SIAL is considered the gateway to Canada’s food industry and a pathway to the North American market. This year’s edition hosts more than 1,200 participating companies from 50 countries, with an estimated audience of over 25,000 negotiators from North America and 60 other nations, engaging in business rounds, conferences, product line presentations, specialized hubs, parallel events, among other activities.
Biodiversity Line
Among the target audiences at SIAL Canada are players from food retail, Food Service, and the food processing industry. “The fair is entirely strategic as it gathers the most innovative products in the sector. For us, presenting the Arboreto line, composed of products from Brazilian biodiversity, is very important. These are technological products that extract the best from Brazilian nature and make it available to the food market,” emphasizes Lilia Kawazoe, Commercial Manager of the Grupo Sabará business unit.

Vegetable Butter – The 100% natural, organic, and sustainable vegetable butter is obtained through a blend of vegetable oils from Brazilian biodiversity. CCBC Commercial Mission
During the Canadian event, Concepta Ingredients is present at the Brazil Pavilion, organized by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), and also participates in the Commercial Mission, organized by the ministry with support from the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC). This activity includes participation in dinners and business rounds with regional buyers. Canada is one of the focus markets for the expansion of Brazilian businesses.
